Chapter Seven

Anna and Kristen, back from the store, met them outside. “So what do you think?”

Jake looked at Kerry, then back at Anna. “Nice jeans.”

Anna looked back. “Do they make my ass look too big?”

Jake looked again. ‘Definitely no! You have a nice ass.”

Kerry kicked him under the table.

Anna sat down. “Hey, can I go to that rassling match tonight?

Jake laughed. “Wrestling.”

She shrugged “Okay, whatever, can I go?”

Angel walked out. “Can I go too?”

Michael laughed. “Oh, honey, this is no catwalk. This is a wrestling match. It can get scary.”

Kerry saw the hurt in her face. “If you two want to go, I’ll pick you up at eight.”

Anna looked at her watch. “Why don’t you make it seven, so you can take us out to eat?”

Jake rubbed his flat belly. “Hey, I’m all for that.”

Kerry got up. “Okay, I’ll be here at seven.” He grabbed his keys and headed out the back door.

Later That Evening...

Anna put on some black jeans and a red tank top. She brushed her hair out straight and put on her boots, then raced down the stairs.

They were all out on the front porch talking. Anna burst through the doors, laughing.

“What’s so funny?” Jake asked.

Anna smiled at him. “Well, my sister and I had a bet that you wouldn’t take us to the wrestling match, and she lost. If she won, I had to give her a pedicure all week.” She grinned smugly, her hands on her hips.

Jan looked at Anna. “So what does she have to do?”

Angel walked out on the porch wearing black jeans and a bra top.

Anna laughed. “She has to wear jeans all week. Oh, and she even had to wear cowboy boots tonight.”

Kristen approached Angel. “Even in jeans, you still look like a model.”

Angel shook her head. “I look horrible. I feel horrible. This has got to be the most godawful material.”

Kerry hugged his mom. “We got to get.” He walked past Angel. “You look hot.”

Jan winked at her. The girls followed them to the truck.

Anna pouted, then smacked Kerry on the arm. “Hey, Jake, do I look hot?”

Jake opened the door for her. As Anna was climbing into the back seat, her ass was practically in his face. “Yeah, you look hot.”

Anna laughed and scooted over so he could get in.

The girls went to the restroom when they got to Casey’s. Casey’s was anything but fancy; it had a purely rustic look, with cowboyish scenery all over.

“Damn, Jake, she looks good.” Kerry watched as Angel walked to the bathroom.

Jake grabbed some sugar for his tea. “You better watch out for those girls. Hell, both of them look good. Well, Anna looks better.”

Kerry blew his paper from the straw at Jake. “Not even. Did you check her out?”

The girls came back, and they both shut up. Angel sat next to Kerry while Anna sat by Jake.

“This place is awesome. I love the outdoorish feeling of it.” Anna grabbed her tea.

Angel sat quietly, feeling like a moron in her new outfit.
